In response, an assassination attempt is directed at Chance King, after the involvement of his organization in those events is discovered. When space-based super weapons begin to surgically eliminate United States military assets, Mark Groves is tasked to counter the threat. Using a state-of-the-art spaceplane, he takes on the satellite-based directed energy weapons and then helps prevent the mastermind behind the weapons from reaching a safe harbor in China. In response, a diabolical plot is implemented and the Chinese send their top pilot into the fray to support their evil objectives.
