Some of the humans inherited some of these powers.The immortals continued to drift in and out of contact with humanity, providing humans with technologies they wouldn't have developed on their own.Eventually, the immortals realized that they could not interfere with human conflicts.They did not want to play the role of God. So the immortals disappeared from human memory, leaving behind evidence only in the form of myths and religions. By the 20th century, the Immortals have come to be wealthy business people and landowners. Their wealth has accumulated over the centuries, hidden in deep vaults from human eyes. Blending into human society in the 21st century brings a whole new challenge as humanity's technology becomes more sophisticated. It is harder to hide.
