Nowadays soil acidity is a serious challenge to crop production in the World in general and in the highlands of Ethiopia in particular in Nitisol soil type farmlands. Liming is one of the measure that has been taken in order to adjust the soil acidity of crop farmlands. Adoption of liming technology would be practicing for decade years in Ethiopia to mitigate the problem. Even if the problem is there, still significant amount of farmers can not adopt the technology in the expected manner. So, the study tried to assess the determining demographic, socioeconomic and institutional factors of the adoption of the liming technology and examined its causal effect on farmers' crop income.
