COVID 19 pandemic has become a global, transnational health threat affecting different sectors including the higher education sector. This book delves into the experiences students at Blessings University of Excellence have had during the pandemic and how learning has been affected. The sudden student isolation due to closures and sudden switch from face to face learning to distance learning has affected students in different ways. The book is firmly anchored in Michael Moore's Theory of Transactional Distance. Possible considerations can include that Government considers introducing special internet rates for higher institutions of learning that will make internet access affordable for students particularly during the pandemic. The university can consider increasing safe quiet spaces on campus following COVID 19 health guidelines, faculty members should strengthen supervision during the pandemic, concentrate efforts to those who have been switched from full time to distance learning and invest in improving the software and introduce professional counselling services to help protect emotional well- being of student.
