Dairying in India is a female dominated enterprise. It is established that women participated in dairy and animal husbandry activities in addition to their daily household chores, as they spent more time than men in dairy production activities. As per the saying said by Mahatma Gandhi "Educate one man, you educate one person, but educate a woman and you educate a whole civilization." Woman entrepreneur may be defined as the woman or group of women who initiate, organize and operate a business enterprise. The absence of institutional credits available in the rural area has led to the establishment of SHGs. The competencies required for an entrepreneur can be acquired through training and development. Training is the process of improving knowledge, skills and changing the attitude of an individual for doing a specific job. NGOs further run self help groups (SHG) who work for the betterment of the rural community.
