Rapid transformation of countries from low-income, low-production economies to high volume industrial production economies has its footprints on key environmental indicators. This undoubtedly is a hotly debated topic for a large developing country like India. Are we compromising environmental sustainability in the pursuit of higher economic growth? The question haunts policymakers as much in any developing country as in India. The current book diligently captured the dynamics in this complex relationship and produced some interesting findings.
