The present work is part of the analysis of the effect of the energy transition and its impact on the macroeconomic variables describing economic growth in Morocco. First, we will evaluate the main policies undertaken by Morocco in terms of renewable energy and energy efficiency4. These policies allow to reduce energy consumption, to ensure local energy production and to reduce CO2 emissions. Secondly, we evaluate the impact of these policies on macroeconomic variables such as the balance of payments, GDP, government expenditures, the competitiveness of firms and the level of prices and wages. Finally, this strong synergy sub-study will be deepened through the elaboration of a concrete case study of solar water heaters "Shemsi5 project" launched by ADEREE.
