There are many factors, which are very important to produce desirable impact of Extn. Edu. in adoption of improved A.H. practices as alternative agriculture in this area. The book has highlighted the impact of Extn. Education in adoption of six improved A.H. practices in Sundarbans with emphasis on different socio-economic, socio-psychological, communication and administrative characteristics effecting adoption behaviour of the livestock owners in the area. Authors have also documented the comparison of findings between saline (Sundarbans) and non-saline belt of that locality. This book based on research works gives an overview to a reader about the impact assessmentof Extn. Edu. on livestock owners for their future planning to attain their better livelihood.

Dr. A. Goswami is Prof., Of Vety. Extn. Edu, WBUAFSc. He is a Veterinarian & did his Ph.D. in Edu. He worked in as Asstt. Dir. (Extn.) in WBUAFSC, Dir. of DODL in Univ. of Kalyani, & I/C in WBSU. He taught Vety. Extn. Edu. at various level. He supervised 07 Ph.D. theses; published 115 Res. papers, authored 15 books in Bengali & 05 books in English
