This book tries to compare different measures of fertility differentials with altered educational level to examine the influence of education on fertility behaviour in Muslim women in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. It also deals with socio-economic variables such as education of husband, caste, annual income of the family, opinion on female education, aspiration for education and achievement and aspirations for education and employment in relation to fertility behaviour. It also deals with the impact of female education on age at marriage, duration of effective marriage on fertility behaviour, the awareness of marriage act, mean age at marriage desired for their son and daughter etc., and it also examines the inter-relationship between selected cultural factors indicating modernization etc. It also focused on the impact of female education on contraceptive behaviour which deals with some of the aspects like knowledge, attitude and practice of family planning methods in relation to their fertility, communication about the methods and Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) between Literate Muslim women and Illiterate Muslim women.
