The aim of this book is to find out whether IGAs help to improve the socio-economic conditions of the women in the AVEC groups in the Ntambuka chiefdom. Based on statistical analysis and the chi-square test, we arrived at the following results: the average age of the women surveyed was 29. This is justified by the fact that being part of an AVEC requires being dynamic. Older women were in the minority because of their age. The majority are married or in a common-law relationship. This is justified by the fact that they have family responsibilities to cover. Most of the women sell food products because it is a profitable IGA. The main reason why they joined an AVEC was to learn how to save and gain easy access to credit. From a financial point of view, 30% of the women surveyed had increased their capital thanks to the financing provided by CSAs. The dependence is highly significant chi2 = 7.38, ddl = 1, 1-p = 99.26%, the exercise of an income-generating activity has a positive effect on improving living conditions.
