The study was carried out to establish the impact of ICT on teaching in technical institutes in western Kenya. In order to achieve the rationale of this study, the following four specific research objectives were adopted: To determine the effect of ICT infrastructure on the quality of examination results, to find the impact of ICT resources used by lecturers on the quality of examinations results, to establish the effect of teaching using ICT and to determine the challenges facing the lecturers using ICT in teaching in technical institutions. The results showed that there is an effect of ICT infrastructure on the quality of examination results in technical institutes. It was found that technology based learning enables students to be much involved in the learning process while the lecturer played a role of a facilitator hence quality results when using ICT resources. It was also found that Teaching using ICT enhance quick coverage of the syllabus and access more information through internet and library. The findings revealed that there were challenges facing lecturers in using ICT when teaching.
