Physical activity is essential for the development of wholesome personality of a child which would depend upon the opportunities provided for wholesome development of the mental, physical, social and spiritual aspects. Health, Fitness and performance are poorly correlated phenomena. Health is generally defined as the freedom from disease, fitness strictly relates to a man's ability to meet the demands of his environment and excellence in performance. In this backdrop the present study has been undertaken to assess the impact of lunar performance on physical fitness status in male human resources occupationally engaged in an organized sector. Initially, age (year), working experience (years), working time(hr.day-1) was collected and recorded in pre-designed schedules. Physical and physiological parameters also recorded. Resting heart rate, blood pressures are also recorded. Data were collected according to the different phases of lunar month, i.e. in new moon (NM), first quarter (FQ), full moon (FM) and third quarter (TQ). The exercise-induced cardiovascular changes are more prominent than in the resting condition, i.e. the value of PFI during lunar cycle.
