This study focused on the use and limitations of non-monetary incentives as a motivational tool and their effectiveness in the performance of staff. The purpose of the study to investigate the state of Non-Monetary Rewards on Staff Performance in Pader district local government. The objectives of the study were: to identify common forms of Non-monetary rewards used in Pader district local government, to determine how Non-Monetary Rewards impact on staff performance in Pader district local government and to find out limitations in the use of Non-Monetary rewards to Public employees in local government.The study used a cross sectional design aided by both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection that provided answers to forms and limitations of Non-Monetary Rewards and its impacts on staff performance within Pader district Local Government. Quantitative data was gathered in order to establish the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The studyconcluded that the employees of Pader district local government should appreciate whatever they may have achieved as far as non-monetary rewards is concerned.
