This study addresses one of the emerging issues i.e. impact of ownership pattern and corporate governance on performance of firms in Indian Corporates. Ownership as a mechanism of corporate governance do have an impact on determination of other internal governance mechanisms such characteristics of boards of directors in terms of size, independence, remuneration, position of chairman etc. Interest and motives of shareholders and board of directors have a significant impact of performance of firms. This book is trying to address these issues in Indian Context.
