A very few Agricultural Universities offers Distance Learning Programme (DLP) on Agriculture. By organizing the Distance Learning Programme effectively, it can bridge the extension gap. Distance Learning Programme meets the needs of the people who are unable to study through the conventional mode and helps those who are willing to acquire knowledge through education (in agriculture). The proper use of distance education method would enable learners (farmers) to produce more by adopting advanced crop production technologies and get more income. The study on the perception, impact and suggestions offered by the learners would help the policy makers and other institutions offering Distance Education across the world to take further steps in improving the distance learning programme.
