This study provides an overview of risk management and its impact on the performance of some insurance companies operating in Kosovo. Furthermore, the focus is on the aspect of risk management in insurance companies in Kosovo, including the recent crisis caused by the Covid19 pandemic. In addition, the data of this work will be analyzed and interpreted through econometric models realized through the SPSS program. From the empirical results of this study, it can be concluded that company size, investments and capital have positively influenced the return on assets of insurance companies, while retained earnings have not had an impact on the return on assets. Despite the limitations that this research may have, it can serve as an orientation for more detailed studies of risk management and the impact of Covid-19 on insurance companies in Kosovo.
