The book, Impact of Physical Environment on Academic Achievement, is intended for educational actors in the education sector as well as built environment practitioners. The nexus of education and the built environment are presented in a clear, interesting, accessible and comprehensive way, the end in view is to stimulate thinking beyond conventional ways our schools are built. The yearning is to bring forth a balanced understanding of the forces within a school environment and hopefully disrupt the ways in which schools have been traditionally built. Dr. Aloyo ably draws from his architecture and environmental planning background and craftily peeks into the education sector, thereby making a valuable contribution to this subject in the spaces in which learning occurs. This book is a timely contribution to the ongoing conversation of how to reform school infrastructure.
