Sometimes the production is even marginally negative in agriculture. In order to address the problems of the region Govt of India and many International Agencies have initiated several Watershed development programs to improve people s livelihoods, socio-economic conditions, environmental problems and abolish the practice of Jhum cultivation. I believe that the findings of the Research reported in this book namely Impact of Integrated Watershed Development Program in Mizoram State, North East India would extremely be useful to Researchers, Academicians, Anthropologists, Sociologists, Social workers working for the welfare of tribals,policy makers, planners and general readers as well.
