The work entitled, Impacting the Nigerian Society through Humanities and Education is a collection of essays by scholars in the broad field of what is referred to as Humanities is made of twenty-five chapters arranged into five sections, namely; Islam and Nigerian Muslims in the 21st Century, International Relations and Strategic Studies, Philosophy of Religion, the Nigerian Society and Music and Nigeria and Health Education. The authors of this anthology responded to orchestrated campaigns unleashed against the disciplines in humanities with the robust interrogation of issues raised in the papers and reinforcing the primal place of humanities against the terror of science in the digital world. Humanities disciplines in their epistemological paradigm enjoy the capacity to rethink human challenges in a more realistic way as against the mechanistic approach of the sciences. The lack of critical thinking among many people today is the treatment given to humanities-based disciplines as a result of a deliberate policy of denying them the opportunity to develop critical minds among the people.
