This study represents an effort in this direction as it aims to discover a feasible adaptation strategy. This will also empower the government's development plan and policies, especially in regard to ensuring the sustainability of paddy sector and an ample food supply for future generation. We hope that this book will contribute to the body of knowledge particularly in the issue of climate change in the agriculture sector and its adaptation strategy in Malaysia.

He is a Fellow at the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Currently, he is pursuing PhD at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His research areas include food security, poverty studies, environmental and development economics.
