Tarus è un esperto in silvicoltura e cambiamenti climatici con oltre 10 anni di esperienza, ha conseguito un M.Sc. in gestione delle risorse naturali e un M.Sc. in cambiamenti climatici ed è membro del team di modellazione dell'inventario dei gas serra (GHG), del gruppo di lavoro tecnico REDD+ e del restauro delle foreste e del paesaggio in Kenya.
