At the bottom of every plates are the image name and pagination number. At the bottom of every plates are the image name and pagination number. We have realized our book in great part with the collection of NYPL with his 91 lithographed, hand-colored panels from 'Das Oesterreichische Heer von Ferdinand II. Römisch Deutschen Kaiser, bis Franz Josef I. Kaiser von Österreich'. The NYPL lithographs are in overall dicrete condition with fresh colors. The sheets with foxing and partly slightly toned, some corners with creases. Some sheets trimmed along the margin. All the artistic plates insert in our book, have been cut, cleaned and restored by our soldiershop graphic artists in order to provide the optimal result of the originals.

Luca Stefano Cristini (Bergamo 1958) is an Italian historian, and historical illustrator with a particular interest in the XVII century history, (principally about 30 years war). He is also the editorial manager of Soldiershop publishing, an Italian publishing company specializing in military and illustrated history. He currently lives near Bergamo in North Italy.
