The book addresses the factors that affected the implementation of the 8-4-4 system of Education. The 8-4-4 system of Education laid emphasis on technical and vocational skills to ensure that school leavers graduating at any level of education have scientific and practical knowledge and skills utilised for self-employment, salaried employment or further training. The skills would also promote national industrialization. The same was also thought to adress issues of quality education and make it practical rather than theoretical. Learners were expected to be self-reliant and job creaters than job seekers.
