Historically, the electricity grid is designed to collect large amounts of energy from power generation and distribution to a large number of customers and users. This vision of the passive network is being overrun: not only more lines, switches, transformers, but also electronics, information and communication are the constituent elements of a "smart grid". Using this platform, we created a complete system consisting of hardware and software that allows to monitor the energy consumption of electronic and electrical appliances at home. Based on Internet architecture, the network of networks, the book aims to create a network where each node collects and exchanges information on energy consumption. We examine the implementation of the system: the Smart Grid platform and the software used for collecting and processing data.
