There is a growing international community of scholars who work on the integrated river basin management (IRBM) as a sub-set of the integrated water resources management (IWRM) at different scales. The Langat River Basin (LRB) is one of the main river basins in Malaysia where implementation of IWRM is a challenging task to attain sustainable development. IWRM is defined as a process to promote the coordinated development and management of water and related resources, in order to maximize the resultant economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems. This book has been redacted from the thesis work on IRBM implementation in Langat River Basin of Malaysia. Mr. Hossain has conducted this research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mazlin Bin Mokhtar and Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Hj. Toriman. Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) Framework has been used to analyze institution. Remote sensing and GIS techniques are utilized for the preparation of land use map of study area. Opinion survey was conducted and interpreted for policy forecast by utilizing regression model analysis.
