Rajiv Aarogyasri Scheme is a unique Community Health Insurance Scheme being implemented in Andhra Pradesh from 1st April 2007. The scheme provides financial protection of families living below poverty line up to Rs. 2 lakh in a year for the treatment of serious ailments requiring hospitalization and surgery 938 treatments are covered under the scheme. The objective of the scheme is to improve access of BPL families to quality medical care for treatment of identified diseases involving hospitalization.

About Author: Dr.K.Mallikarjuna, was born 01-11-1984.He did post graduation M.A. Department of Political Science & Public Administration from Sri Venkateswara University. He completed M.Phil in 2010 and Ph.D completed in 2013.He published 5 Articles in he attended 13 National, 3 International Conference, 4 Workshops and 4 Training Programmes.
