This research looks at the process of implementation of the Directive 2007/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2007 amending Council Directives 89/665/EEC and 92/13/EEC with regard to improving the effectiveness of review procedures concerning the award of public contracts (hereinafter the Remedies Directive) in Latvia taking into account the existing legislative framework. El autor ha obtenido el título de abogado en la Universidad de Letonia y un máster en Derecho Internacional y Europeo en la Facultad de Derecho de Riga, y en 2010 publicó una monografía (en letón) sobre los procedimientos de contratación pública.
