The volume focuses on the scope and limits of social Europe today by examining the implementation of European regulation in the midst of both the financial and the EU legitimacy crises. Detailed scrutiny of social policy implementation in a variety of social policies and member states shows how European integration challenges welfare sovereignty. This book was originally published as a special issue of West European Politics.
