The purpose of this book is to help learners improve the listening comprehension performance in an English as a foreign language (EFL) class for eleventh graders. Six workshops with authentic materials and listening strategies used along the development of the project. To collect information different instruments were used such as the teacher-researcher journal, a peer- observation form, and a student self- evaluation survey; besides, the evaluation of the correct use of the listening strategies and learning of vocabulary and grammar structures in each lesson was carried out through rubrics. After analyzing the data collected it was determined that students improved their listening comprehension performance by the use of authentic materials and listening strategies and that they were also able to interact more in the class and showed a good level of vocabulary, as they felt more confident with their language usage.
