Busayo O. Ige obtained her PhD in Socio-Linguistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She currently lectures at the University of Cape Town and coordinates the Intervention Program, an Academic Development Initiative. She has published articles on politeness, impoliteness, intercultural communication and gender.
