According to article 3 of the decision n°0353 /D/MINFOF of 27/02/2012, wooden furniture is part of the fourth transformation of wood. It occupies a very important place in the Cameroonian economy (wealth creation, employment, poverty reduction, etc.). This is all the more important since most Cameroonian consumers buy their furniture from artisanal producers. Faced with the difficulties in developing this sector, several actions have been taken by the governments of the sub-region and of Cameroon as well as by the actors in the sector. Despite numerous efforts, little development has been observed in the furniture sector over the last two decades. There has been an increase in the consumption of imported wooden furniture. Local processors are struggling to cope with this new situation. Hence the question of knowing:How to improve the craft production of wooden furniture so that it can meet the demand that now turns to imported furniture?
