This document was prepared with the purpose of disseminating the importance of livestock in human development, particularly the obtaining of animal protein as an essential element for growth and development of the physical and mental capacities of human beings. In addition, an economic-administrative model was proposed to help solve one of the problems of livestock farming, low productivity. We also identified the problems related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the alternatives that have been proposed to date.
