Drought is one of the crucial environmental abiotic stressor limiting the crop production and human food consumption worldwide. Wheat is the staple food crop of Pakistan but unfortunately water deficit is posing a serious threat thereby limiting its yield. The significant importance of Moringa oleifera leaf extract treatment illustrated that MLE30 is a best naturally occurring plant growth stimulator in enhancing the growth of wheat. Moreover, ability of MLE30 as a mitigating agent against oxidative damaging effect (ROS) through increasing the powerful antioxidant defense system under drought stress condition is due to having a rich source of nutrients: enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants, highly proteins level. So, it is concluded that maximum wheat grain yield can be obtained by adopting tolerant AARI-11 cultivar with the exogenous application of MLE30 as a priming agent and foliage spray under irrigation water-regimes at tillering and booting stages.
