Based on the analysis of requirements tofiltering materials, it is shown that the efficiency of gas purificationcan be significantly increased by additional application in the processof filtration of electric field, providing intensificationof filtration processes and realization of additional mechanismsof precipitation from the gas phase of various substances, including ions of iron andother metals, ultradispersed aerosols, fumes, mists, etc. It is shownthat polymericfibrous porous materials carrying an electret chargecan be successfully used in air filters, andhighly porous foam-nickel-based materialsused asprecipitation electrodes in electrostatic filterscan beused forintensification of gas flows purification from ultradispersed aerosols. Theprocess of regeneration of filtering fibrous materials, providing preservation of the basic filtering characteristics andthe possibility of their reuse for fine air purification,is developed.Inthe latter case, the material, subjected to additional exposure tothe factors of the "melt-lowing" process, acquires a number of properties, contributingto an increase in the filtering capacity for fine air purification.
