The present study was aimed to development of fastness properties of direct dyes using a natural bio active mordant. Musa acuminata stem extract is mixed along with direct dye as a mordent to improve its fastness property. The fabric is going to be treated with musa acuminata stem extract with methanol of different concentrations by exhaust method..
