Anaerobic digestion (AD) of biogas fermentation is very sensitively to temperature. So, temperature is main impact factor to biogas fermentation. Utilization of solar energy to increase the digester temperature, especially during cold climate, is very useful in heating biogas digesters because of its affordability. It is environmentally, friendly and economical. So, this study presents a new concept of using shallow solar pond (SSP) to increase the fermentation and biogas production rate during cold climate; therefore a new application of SSP by the integrating with a developed biogas digester was investigated at the Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University. The pre-constructed developed digester has been operated and evaluated compared to the conventional digester using dairy cattle dung. Due to the high productivity of the developed biogas digester, as well as a zero-waste engineering and environmentally sound system so this technology requires further more attention and study
