This paper attempts to improve and sustain the writing competence among adolescent learners by presenting the peer editing learning model which illustrates classroom teaching and learning procedures which should be followed to improve the quality of writing skills. The model has been designed for teachers after thorough reflection done on the Innovative Writing Process (IWP) approach to teaching writing skills. The paper is underpinned by Levy Vygotsky Socio cultural theory of second language learning and the Curriculum theory because the theories approaches learning as interactive process, as a body of knowledge, as product, as process, as praxis and as context guided by the school, whether it is carried on in groups or individually, inside or outside the school.
