Prescott Harvey works as a senior copywriter and brand strategist for a creative agency in Portland, Oregon. He leads a relatively mundane life with a wife and two kids. But before that, there are some interesting stories. Prescott and his wife arrived in Portland via sailboat, spending two years up and down the Pacific Ocean. Prior to that he was an amateur survivalist-he once spent a month in the woods with nothing but the clothes on his back, a knife and some twine. In Beta is his first novel.
