This piece of work is about exploration of alternative burial methods and options as result of shortage of land for cemetery development in the Richards Bay City, South Africa. It outlines different alternative burial methods and options such as grave recycle/re-use; cremation; natural burial; sea burial; resomation (bio-cremation) and second interment which takes into consideration issues of culture, tradition and religion as they closely relates to the different burial practices within the communities.
