Fifteen years ago I enrolled in a creative writing class because I wanted to write this book about my mother s life. Along the way I attended writing seminars and joined writing groups so this dream could come true. Over these fifteen years I was published forty times. Most of these stories were from my own life as a church organist, teacher s aide, avid sailboat racer, wife and mother. The three years it took to write this book, I received help from my patient husband, my children, my brothers and sister and many writing friends.
