Autorenporträt
A winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Ernest Hemingway was one of America's most celebrated writers. Born in Illinois in 1899, he began his career as a reporter before serving as an ambulance driver in World War I. Initially known for his short stories, his reputation was further enhanced by his novels, including The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Old Man and the Sea. He died in 1961.
