Jenesis Haynes Is stuck in the shadow of her father's addiction, her life defined by his struggle until the day she discovers him deceased in his isolated Northern California cabin. Overwhelmed by grief and emptiness, she finds solace in a journal revealing his vibrant past, filled with adventures from the 1980s and early 1990s. Determined to connect with the man he once was, Jenesis sets off on a transformative journey across breathtaking destinations such as Juneau, Maui, London, Palm Springs, and Lake Tahoe. Her quest mirrors an "eat, pray, love" odyssey, as she navigates her pain and self-discovery. Her travels continually intertwine with Adam, a free-spirited wanderer who seems to embody her father's untamed spirit. Their deepening friendship soon blossoms into something more profound. But as Jenesis uncovers a long-buried secret her father concealed, she is faced with a life-altering choice that challenges her beliefs about love, resilience, and her own identity.

Autorenporträt
Jessica Noelle has worked as a lifestyle journalist in a small town in Northern California. Her writings now center on the compelling themes of love, family, and tragedy. She studied English at San Francisco State University and spends most of her time with her husband and two babies at their idyllic farmhouse in the foothills of California. She loves to work in the shade of a palm tree on the beach, however, and uses her many travels to inspire her writing. Her words are at times comic, sensual, complex, and transportive.
