Paulette Demers Turco is in Alfred Nicol's poetry workshop and Rhina Espaillat's annual poetry Lyceum classes, both in Newburyport, MA. She attends annual Robert Frost Farm poetry conferences in Derry, NH. Her poetry is published in The Lyric, Ibbetson Street Press, Merrimac Mic Anthology II: Going with the Floes, 2016, and Merrimac Mic Anthology III: The River Widens, 2017. She was awarded the MFA in Writing Presidential Scholarship in 2016 as an MFA in Writing Poetry student at Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. She is an optometrist and enjoys being close to family, writing for young people, and painting. She lives in Newburyport, MA.
