Success isn't a linear path. There are unplanned twists and turns, soaring highs and devastating lows. But through it all, there are certain traits that set the successful apart from the rest of the pack… In his first book, former professional rugby player turned business leadership coach, Beau Robinson, delivers a fresh perspective on what it takes to find success - in business and in life. Beau tells his story - from crisis to comeback - while delivering practical lessons on mindset, goal setting and absolute resilience in the face of adversity. He argues that successful people have 13 key characteristics in common, and guides the reader through exercises to make sure they make the most of them. Most importantly, he argues that our careers and businesses are just a vehicle for a good life, not the other way around. 'In the Arena' is the culmination of an often turbulent yet successful sporting career, a lifetime's worth of lessons, and intensive study in business and mindset. Whether you're at the start of your journey or on the top of the mountain, every reader can benefit from Beau's honesty, perspective and good humour.
Autorenporträt
Beau Robinson is a former Wallaby, Super Rugby Championship winner and now Business Leadership Coach. He coaches, consults and advises from business owners, to national and multinational companies and organisations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East and the UK. His determination to become a professional rugby player and his time in the game playing with and against the world's best players and teams, saw him constantly looking to learn more about the mindset of a leader and of those who were successful. In October 2010, Beau was grief stricken, without a contract, and working as a garbage man on Sydney's Northern Beaches. By August 2011, he was a Super Rugby champion and Wallaby. Beau retired from rugby in 2017, after 10 seasons as a professional rugby player over 13 years since he finished school. Today, he helps business leaders and owners reignite their passion, build high performing teams and create a business or organisation that achieves more. His purpose is to build leadership capabilities in others. He mentors leaders to understand that their life and career - and that of their teams - can be more enjoyable, memorable and fulfilling.
