In the beginning... is presented as an invitation to set out on a journey that offers astounding discoveries. Hidden treasures will be unearthed from beneath the time-worn tracks of those who have trekked in centuries past through the vistas of Genesis-the introductory book to the Bible. Do not expect an intricate, theological treatise shaped to meet the requirements of the experts in the field. These gems are offered to the lay-reader who finds an interest in searching out Biblical truths not easily encountered in a superficial scan of the records. This book sets out to provide-in an authentic, attractive style featuring "Picture Parables"-some feasible explanations regarding what really happened in the Beginning... What is the nature of the gems? A gem is assessed by three basic principles: 1. It is exquisite 2. It is rare 3. It is useful. When all three aspects are apparent, the gem is valued to be of highest worth. There is the rainbow range of the "ruby", "jasper", "topaz", "emerald", "turquoise", "sapphire", amethyst", and many more amazing truths that are hidden away in Genesis and each discovery is worth the "dig"! Bible students will be amazed at how a word-at times found in its most ancient form-can explain the unbelievable, expose the unexplored, and enable the acknowledgement of its true worth. All who become engaged in the search will be enriched by digging beneath the surface of the soil. Pick up your spade!
