This book outlines the case for believing in God based on a philosophical approach to religion. The title was chosen because Christians, Muslims and Jews all use the phrase "in the image of God" to describe human beings and to assert that they are valuable. The first part of the book is mostly philosophy and is relevant to those of any religion or of none. In the middle there is a chapter which looks at what an argument for the existence of God would look like in the light of the philosophical points made. The last part of the book is a sketch of such an argument.
