In The Name of Justice: The Erica Blackstone Chronicles is the spin-off of the three-book Broken Promises series. The main character Erica Blackstone former crime reporter forms a private investigation firm with Jasmine Jefferson (JJ), Jefferson and Blackstone Investigations (JBI). In their first year of partnership, they take on a child custody case of a close friend of JJ's (Benjamin Bailey). The devious plan she devises is shocking and gives Benjamin proof that his wife has lost all touch with reality. As the case progresses, Erica and JJ's personal and private lives begins to spiral out of control when inappropriate pictures are sent to Erica's children's school and to JJ's husband (Lewis). On top of that, JJ's infant son (Leo) is kidnapped which leaves Erica to not only operate the firm alone, but also to assist in the search for the missing child. Added to the disappearance of Leo, Erica's, Aunt Arlene disaapears when intensity is high because of her upcoming wedding. As family and friends come together to deal with the many issues that plague them, will they be able to overcome their issues, or will they fall prey to the evil forces that are working overtime to tear them apart?

Diana Carter was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Accounting, two Master's degrees in Human Resources and Management, and working towards her DBA (Doctoral of Business Administration) in Organization Leadership. She is the divorced mother of three and grandmother of twelve. She is the author of ten titles: three-book Broken Promises series and single title Dark Revenge: The Trey Taylor Story, were published through Outskirts Press. The remaining six titles: Spin-Off to the Broken Promises series, In The Name of Justice: The Erica Blackstone Chronicles, the four-book series The Sister Factor, and Never a Dull Moment: The Nick Jr. Story were published by the company she founded in 2017, Let's Do This Publishing, LLC. She is currently working on two other titles she plans to published by the end of this year.
