The cover was done with colored pencil as a suggestion. Feel free to color with any media you have-pencil, pen, watercolor, crayon, collage. Add any designs to make it personal. You can do all coloring before hanging it up. You can do the coloring monthly or have a group and pass it around as each adds design or color until finished. Have a good time finishing what I started.
