Autorenporträt
Val Simot was born in 1973 in the Republic of Croatia. He completed a social science and mathematics high school with excellent performance in 1992, during the first year of the war in the Independent Republic of Croatia. Val then actively participated in the defensive war, which lasted until 1995. The first book of acid jazz (neuro-realistic poetry) was retained by the Croatian Heritage Foundation for another time, and the second book of poetry titled Kapi was published in 2010. He translated the same book into English, supplemented, and relatively modified it, giving it a new title: In the Shadow of Whispering.
