After starting out in journalism as an award-winning reporter, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and worked as an award-winning development editor for a non-fiction press. During the pandemic, she came out as a transgender woman. Her micro-fiction has appeared online in Deep South Magazine. She lives in an old house with her wife, stepson, and a rambunctious dog.
